Asama Yama (Mt. Asama)

We went up this mountain and were able to take some great pictures of Asama Yama.
It was really cool there was fog in between some of the mountains.
This is a volcano called Asama Yama. It is active and it usually erupts every 16 or so years (but not with lava - just smoke and ash).

Wild Boars!!!!

I was walking home from the place where I study and I was cut off by about ten wild boars. I was freaking out! I had never seen them before and nobody was with me. I didn't know if would charge at me or if they would be scared of me. I started to scream and stomp my feet and they all ran off. I was very happy! This was a picture that we took a few days later. Jon and I chased them to get these pictures.
There were nine baby boars and one Mama. Olivia calls the wild boars "wild boards" it is very cute.

Visiting Miho's House

We had a wonderful time at Miho's house! She invited us and another friend of Sarah's her name is Minako. We made these fried spring rolls (kinda like egg rolls but with different ingredients). During lunch Sarah was able to share about the reasons for Homeschooling. This sparked an interest in starting a bible study.
This is the finished product.
This is Miho's daughter Mayo Chan. She is Annabella's age and has Down's syndrome. She is very close to walking.

Oh Annabella!!!

Annabella had just gotten a bath and Jon was putting lotion on her. He looked away for a second and she had stuck her hands in the lotion container. She had it all over!
She made a run for my room when Jon stopped her right before she got to my bed.
In the end Annabella was very happy to play in the lotion, and we were all laughing. What a great ending to the day.

Squid.....Yummy?

We were all invited to go to an Shin nen kai (beginning of the year party) for Sarah's Jidokan (play group). It was at a Chinese Restaurant, so we all sat on the floor for dinner. That was my first experience sitting on the floor while eating and probably not my last.
I tried SQUID!!!! I wouldn't say that I didn't like it, it was very chewy. Squid doesn't really taste like a lot. I am glad that I tried it and I would probably have it again.

The Gorgeous Waterfalls

We had a fun time going to the Shiraito waterfalls. It was very slippery walking to them but we had fun looking at them.

These are some pictures of the beautiful waterfalls.

"Real" Ramen for Dinner

We went to a cool Ramen restaurant in Saku. I tried some ramen with nori (which is seaweed) on it. I wasn't a big fan of it but at least I tried it.
This was my bowl of ramen.
